Today I got a chance to shoot RTI's Peterbilt and Temisko rig as it moved equipment through Ellicottville, NY up to the Buffalo area, via route 219. For those of you who know the area, you know how gorgeous the scenery along 219 can be. Todd (Screed4713) from RTI gave me directions and told his crew in advance that I would be heading down, huge thanks to you guys for letting me tag along. I'll leave Todd to fill in the details about the load and equipment. Enjoy the photos! Awaiting Departure in Ellicottville, NY Wide Angle Truck Shot

Hey Dan , Thanks for getting the pictures, they look great!!! The load is a Drake steel shredder. It is 31' long, 9'10" wide and allegedly weighs 150,000 pounds. We picked it up at the Port of Balitmore on Monday and delivered it to a recycling yard outside of Buffalo last night.
The truck is our 2013 Peterbilt 388. Its got a 600 hp Cummins ISX, 18 spd road ranger and a 2 spd auxiliary transmission. 20K front axle, 20K steerable pusher and 52K rears on Neway air ride. The trailer is our 2010 Temisko. We are running it in a 2x3x3 combo With a 27' deck and 5' deck extension.
Empty we are 82,600 pounds setup like that. So are gross weight should have been 232,600. We had a permit for 245,000 pounds with police escorts in Maryland, Pennsylvania and New York. I say allegedly 150,000 pounds because the Port said it was 147,000 lbs, the customer said 150,000, when the NYS police weighed us they said we were grossing 198,900, and the crane that unloaded us said it with around 135,000. So I'm not really sure.
Anyway we left Baltimore at 5am on Tuesday morning. We were inspected at 9 am in PA and were at the NY line at I-81 at 5:45 pm. They averaged 47 mph through PA. Not too bad from being anywhere from 198,000 to 232,000 lbs. They started rolling at 11am yesterday and arrived to the customer at 745. This load went great. Dan met they guys while they were stopped for the rush hour curfew from 4pm to 6pm. He took some really great pictures.

Thanks for all the positive comments! I had an absolutely amazing time photographing the truck and hopefully I can get some more shots of their equipment. You guys should bring the trucks to the Diesel Nationals, I'm definitely going this year.
