Maybe make the jib use same size boom like the cc8800 does, that way you can swap the sections out Looks great

Sarens would be a sweet paint for this. Thanks for the complemens Today with our crummy weather I got both main winches installed and strung them both with 70 feet of musky I just got finished reeving main hook with 32 parts. It was actually very easy the easiest hookI have ever done. What makes it easy is the stop bars on the sheeves it keeps the string in place even if hook moves. Here is quick pic of the set up I will do a video so you can see all the details once we get some nicer weather Jason

Wow have not done anything on this since Thanksgiving. Well I painted and decaled the main block. I loved the look of it painted. One year I will get this crane finished. Here is a guy standing next to the block I have my 1300 holding block up, makes the crane look small what do think of the look of it? Jason

You made a awesome job on this crane, no doubt. On such a large scale project, some might be tempted to cut short with painting but according to the way you detailed the hook, that machine will be one of a kind.
I do customize stuff too and I can tell. Only you will know how much you have invested, especially in time. We usually don't do it for the money, but the simple pleasure to have a unique piece of collection and the way we feel it should be. I remember your vessels which were very well done too and highly detailed.
Again, great work.
Stephane

Have done a little work adding jib. And some walkways. I am planning on having it in a vessel lift configuration. I am having a small problem with a 2 mm twist on the main boom , does not sound a lot but it is messing with clearance of flying bridle and luff ing pendant lines. I was thinking maybe doing a Liebherr power boom setup to stop the twist? Right now I am waiting on a new roll of musky to Reeve the luffer and some expanded aluminum to finish off the catwalks. Do you guys think I should do the power boom or not? Here is a few pics of crane. First is with the Sennebogen 5500, last are with the kids they wanted to stand under it. Darn kids are sure growing up fast jason
