Hi DT, that's an incredible move with a lot of axle lines. Also very neat to see a Goldhofer configuration. The support tractor looks to be a pretty heavy duty rig as well. Thanks so much for sharing. Take care and all the best.

Do you have any photos of the Hayes being unloaded or loaded for transport?

Nol I do not have any such photos. Thanks for asking as I was not sure what make of tractor it was. I thought it might have been a KW. There was no identification marks on it. There might be chance I can get some more pics, as they have several more moves to make. This move took place about 15 miles north of Columbus, Ohio. If and when this takes place, I will let forum members know.

Man I like those exceptional load moves. I wish I could see some around here (live!) someday. Then, there's still Youtube...

As per several followers, they have named Hayes as the maker. One gentleman pointed out And "H" on the front grill guard denoting Hayes. Thanks to the follower for the Hayes info.

Everyone is on the money here…..so here is how it goes…
Hayes started out as Hayes Mfg Co Ltd in Vancouver, BC, in 1947 three company Execs left Hayes and formed Pacific Truck and Trailer which by the 1960s were assembled in numbers using Cat, Detroit Diesel, Cummins and Rolls Royce engines.
In 1969 Mack Trucks Inc acquired a major interest in the business and renamed it Hayes Trucks Ltd and then a year later introduced the HS-Series and the HDX logging tractor which was a bonneted 6 x 4 capable of handling 130 ton logging loads. Its specs included a 430hp Detroit Diesel V12, 6 speed Allison "Power Shift" transmission and brakes comprising water cooled drums and hydraulic retarders.
Mack Hayes interests were sold to a subsidiary of Pacific Car and Foundry Co, Renton, Washington in 1974 and closed down a year later. Encyclopedia of Trucks and Buses
Hope this is beneficial to those interested.

In the day Gerosa , Hoffman McHugh and Corbett would have plunked this down on a 250 ton lowbed and went down the road with 2 guys one in the tractor and the escort pickup . No more people involved and the roads and bridges survived .

That might have taken place, but you did not OSHA, the EPA and all the other safety agencies involved as there are today. The area where this move took place, is a haven for scale men and other types of public authority. In 1959, I worked for a construction company that moved Northwest 95 backhoes without removing anything. Just an operator in the cab, a couple of police patrolmen, and down the road you went. How many of your the mentioned companies are still in business today?
