Nice models logger, I had a Bobcat mini and inadvertently lost it in the trash. But while I did like it I wasn't fond of not being able to use the back fill blade. I have gotten the Terex TC50 mini excavator and that is awesome and the blade works and I even went "bigger" and got the Volvo EC20 and that little guy even has a working blade.

Can't wait to see more pics, I know we have a good set of logging models too with the Valmet harvester and forwarder along with the John Deere log loader and feller buncher. Now just need some log trucks and maybe a skidder or 2.

Dain

I'm a kid at heart, so I will play with any model construction vehicle from 1:87 scale to 1:1 scale!!!!

Age is a state of time NOT a state of mind!!

Thanks, I got the Bobcats because they only cost $7.95, I would like a volvo but they are not on the top of my list.

Here is my most recent purchase a Joal Cat 375. I ended up paying $98.00 shipped witch compared to other 375's for sale is a good deal.

this photo shows one of my christmas models. a sword 357 with east dump.

Now i am going to need a bigger truck to haul it. Any suggestions for some one with a small budget.

The Joal Cat 375 is really nice. It does not have the detail of many modern models, but I just like it.

For a hauler you might look into one of the old Corgi Kenworth W900 W/ 5-axle lowboy. It needs a jeep, (IMO) but it could be a start. I have seen them going from $50-$175.

Thanks Ethan. I will look for one of those to see what they are going for.

This arrived today after buying it off of Ebay last week with plans for converting it into a water tanker.
Corgi Mack R Model with tanker trailer.
It is most commonly called 1/48 scale but is actually in between 1/50 and 1/53.

After receiving the model I have decided to make it a Tri axle heavy haul truck, instead of a water tanker.
I would like to ask that anyone that builds custom trucks often, if they could guide me along,as this is my first custom truck, and I dont want to screw it up.
Also If you know where I could find parts for it, at a lower cost that would be appreciated.
I know that i am going to need new wheels/tires for it, mirrors. (might have to make them.), headache rack and fifth wheel. among other parts. Any and all help would be highly appreciated.

Hey Mclean! One recommendation that I have is when you do new wheels/tires is that you boost the ride height. That way it will look more realistic.

That is definitely something that will be done when I get new tires, Thanks Dylan.

Added this model this past week, eventually I would like to have a pull pan for it, but for now I am going to build a 16ft box-scraper, And does anyone know of a 1/50 sheeps foot roller?

I know that EMD made a tow behind sheeps foot, but they are expensive and pretty hard to come by, but check Ebay. You might even be better off just making one from scratch.

Here are some photos of my most recent custom a 16ft box scraper, I still need to add hydro lines, I built it over about 2.5 weeks working on it ever night or so, the only thing not scratch built are the tires. I might try a sheeps foot roller next, not 100% sure though.

The only photos I found online were of one that folded for transport, So I tried to implement this feature in my model, it folds ok, just not perfect.

Here are a few photos of a 1/50 scale brush mower I finished recently for my bobcat S750's, It is lightly based off of a diamond mowers 72" mower. Still need to add hydro lines to both this model and the box scraper in the last post, But haven't decided on what to use for them.

Any suggestions on what to use for flexible hydraulic lines would be welcome.

I like the 16ft box scraper. Did you had a 1:1 model or just figured it out yourself?

I based it off of one I found online, It had a few dimensions on the site and quite a few photos.
