Well I spotted these today and snapped some pics. The 988 was at a truck stop we were filling up the crane. The 11 was on the side of the road alittle south of Waco where they are widening I-35. Not the best picture but I was driving at 55 driving a semi so I think it came out alright. I edeited it alittle to make the pic better. This is the first D11 I have seen in person, wish I lived closer to check it out but I am not driving 2 + hours for close ups

I forgot my lens hood so I got some glare, I edited it out asmuch as I could

Awesome! 988s are pretty common around here but anything bigger than a D8 is very seldom seen. Biggest piece of equipment in the area is delta sand's 5230 and they aren't giddy about letting people take photos.

Must be moving a lot of dirt to have an '11 on the job. Good find. I was on a project a couple times that consisted of 30 miles of new divided highway, the biggest dozer I ever saw on that job was an D8R/D8T. I believe there was one D9N somewhere but I never got to see it.d'oh! What can I say it is Indiana everything is super flat, we don't have a desire to create hills.
