Lets use this thread to list our favorite model and why. I know its hard but you have to pick only one. Once you decide, give us an explanation as to why. Pics are bonus points Ill go first. My favorite model is a Conrad Schwing 52 Concrete Pump given to me by my dad when I was very young. I loved to spend the weekends with him on the job site. One weekend he let me spend the day with the concrete pump operator on his rig. Later that evening at home, he gave me the model. That memory still feels like it was just yesterday. Im 26 now...man, where does the time go??? Heres a photo of what it looks like.

Mine is probably my John Deere 200LC. It was my very first model. After all these years it isnt really a model anymore, but more of a beat up mess, but I still keep what's left of it.

Very difficult, and will probably change fairly soon. At the mo, my favourite is my Demag 185. I bought it a few years ago for £20. I'm quite new to customising models, but am very pleased with the modifications I did on this recently. "/> "/>

I have a tie between at least 5 models. My RL64 pipelayer, HS855 crane, my PR764 dozer, the LTC1045-3.1 crane or my W250i milling machine. I'd probably have to narrow it to my HS855.
I guess the HS855 is my favorite because of it's functionality as it can be used as a dragline, lifting crane or torn down for several transport loads. But it is hard as they are all my favorites or I wouldn't have bought them.
Good thread though and will be interesting to hear what some are!!!

I'm a kid at heart, so I will play with any model construction vehicle from 1:87 scale to 1:1 scale!!!!

I would have to say either my 1/40 Link Belt 210x2 or my Deere 310se. The deere was one of my first models, and the link belt was my one of my first excavator models, as i love link belt.
Nothing runs like a deere with a cat on its back but the link belt ate both of them

That would be my favourite too (if I had one). Absolutely wonderful model. Who built it? Brass?

i have too many to just pick one think it would be a tie between my Liebherr Lr1600 and Manitowoc 18000 for crawler cranes the 1600 is so versatile and the 18000 is one my favorite real cranes, also was my first big crawler model over 300t as for mobile cranes, use to be the 11200, then i liked the ac1000, once i added all the extra details and stuff, looks great now, but after getting the ltm1500, must say its a very nice model! just love how you can break it down, set boom at various heights (50%, 92%, 96%) and that it comes with the 84m sections, plus the incredible detail!

My favorite would be my Corgi Euclid TC-12. The TC-12 is my favorite piece of real equipment as well. A close second place model would be this one. I wore one of these out as a kid building roads. Flickr Photostream

Mine is a GMK6350, Why First model and got it cheap ($90 plus freight) It is undergoing a rebuild at the moment, 4 new hand made build outriggers, a hand made boom dolly, all going well a luffing jib with extra cheek weights and luffing winch. i Have most of the drawings and sizes done and some of the brass ready to start.

My very best (current) one is my LR 1750 Wagenborg that I custom converted Mammoet. But I do remember about a John Deere cable skidder (must have been in 1:18 scale as it was like 20" long by 10" wide or so) that I had as I was maybe 7-8 old and played a lot with it even in tha sand and mud I wish I still had it for my son.

It's kind of hard to pick one favorite, but I'd have to say it's my custom Kenworth T800W log truck. Facebook: NorCalDiecastCustomsInstagram: NorCalDiecastCustomsClifton

My favorite model and, the one I'm most proud of is my scratch built crane gantry. It has 1655 pieces of styrene plastic and took about 300 hours to build.
