Hi guys! I'm sure everyone has gotten excited over the Nuremburg Toy Show 2014 and i'm too, excited. Nevertheless, i would like to share with everyone Asiagroup's AC1000/9 with 45m fixed jib is on site to dismantle a Terex Comedil CTL 260 tower crane. Interestingly and coincidentally, the entire workforce is a Terex family. It consists of a Terex Demag AC1000/9, a Terex Demag AC80-2 and the Terex Comedil CTL 340 that is being taken down. Hope you guys enjoy the photos. Cheers!

A pair of Kroll cranes were spotted behind the site too!

The AC80-2

Closer view of the 45m fixed jib.

Slewing ring and cab is now off.

Yes, that's the plan. Decals are easy but painting those wheels is fiddly!

Many thanks for the compliments guys. Anyway there's a small error earlier on, its a Terex Comedil CTL 340 and not 260.

Almost done.

A little bit left to do as I got the decals wrong for the boom sections. Didn't notice that the letters were orientated differently on the last 4 sections until I was about to apply them!

It is not perfect but looks okay to me.

Mostly you're right in terms of being simple, except for one thing: the wheels! They are hand painted and a PIA!

well yes the wheels are the most difficult part about that model and they seemed to have turned out fine to me

No, they were done by Birger at Dreamdock.
