Not my photo! This came by in an email... is it real or has somebody played with it? If it's real, I wouldn't be taking a drive-by without a telephoto lens. Mark If you only do what you've always done, you will only get what you always got!

As somebody who works with Photoshop for hours every day, I'd say this is at least partly real. It's possible that the extent of over-inflation has been exaggerated, but there's no way that it didn't happen.

I wouldnt want to see that go. I remember years ago in the local quarry (early 80'sI was a kid) a large Yale wheel loader had a blow out while loading a truck and sent ballast flying, a rock wend through the side window and hit the truck driver in the head and killed him.

I was pretty sure of the how and why, I've had one go off at 60k's and throw fullsize railway sleepers off the deck like matchsticks.... but I didn't think it would get that out of shape before it popped!

I notice that the rear tire has 26 lugs or cross treads while the front tire has 28...Would't they both be the same size and have the same number of treads ?? Just wondering

The tires would be the same size, but they are likely different brands. There are small differences between brands like that, even when the tread pattern is close to the same.
Good eye to notice it though.
As far as dealing with it, I would consider clearing the area, then shooting it with a rifle. No way would I let anyone close enough to it to pull the valve core.

Our loaders and trucks the older tires have very dry rubber...it cracks and splits. Strange how this was able to stretch and baloon like that.even if the belts broke. It had to be a fairly new tire
