Here is a collection of pictures from my new job as slinger / banksman / rigger at a local crane hire company. Up on the roof of Birmingham's New Street Station with a GMK 3055-1  Our Brand new 3180 Challenger in the yard  Lifting scaffholding off the roof of a dairy   I often get to work with other companies and cranes such as this brand new Tadano ATF 50-3G  We had NMT's AC 350 on hire a few weeks back and she was parked up in our yard for the weekend   Our newest GMK 4100L lifting rubbish off the roof of a hospital   The 3180 all stickered up   Air con units in Warrington with this ATF 90-4G   The 3180 in Melton lifting roof sheets  Scaffholding again with another 4100  In Jaguar Land Rover with the Tadano city crane  Having a play on one of the 3050's   Lifting a 8 ton silo yesterday with a 4100    Til' next time Jack

Great selection of cranes there Jack, nice to see your enjoying the job! Won't be long until your behind the joysticks yourself  I'm not really a terex or grove man, loves my Liebherr's haha but ABA have some nice new machines.

Thanks Sam I'd like to see some Liebherr cranes too, maybe one day! We have a few new cranes on order including another 4100 and a Terex Explorer 5600 which im looking forward to seeing ;)

Some pictures from this week. One of the GMK 4100L's on a landfill site packed up for the night after erecting steel  Out on site with the challenger and also on site was this LTM 1100-5.1 from Ainscough   Alot of this is done when working with cranes....  Roof trusses in the mud with the challenger....  ....Roof trusses in the sun with the 4100L  Jack

These last two weeks I have done alot of work with self erecting mobile tower cranes. These are truly impressive machines and Mr Speirings is an incredibly clever man. Its just a shame the work that they do is always fast and non stop! The 5 axle Speirings SK599-AT5    And the slightly bigger SK1265-AT6 which i got to have a play in!  The phrase "Don't look down" comes to mind!  Operators View  A very good view from the top!   And to finish our "New" AC 40L

Cool pics Jack, and it is amazing that it all folds away like it does!. I love the view from up high but sadly heights give me the shivers

Great shots of the self erectors Jack. I'm actually set up beside an older model one right now and have been for the last week, don't know much about them but it's on 4 axles and has around a 30 metre tower
