that one tower crane is directly blocking where that thing is sitting while they assemble it. the other question i have is if sarens operates in the us or at least north america in the same way mammoet does. in my travels i have seen some of their yards and was wondering if sarens also had actual locations on this continent

There's one not to far from me. I only found it when I saw a giant yellow boom of a CC2400 out there. It's a small yard that belonged to a company that sarerns bought out to get a foot in the US sector.

Yup. The two California offices belonged to "Rigging International" Sarens bought them in 2009 http://www.vertikal.net/en/news/story/8231/As a matter of fact, Sarens just finished a job here in So Cal moving nine railroad bridge sections about a quarter of a mile from their fabrication site to the actual bridge itself. They used SPMTs to move then raise the bridges. Very cool. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kyeWmrbcEGU

Rowesville, SC?! There is absolutely nothing in Rowesville. Like not even a stop light. That's interesting. Must be some sort of staging area between the two nuclear plants?

Keep your eyes open for Roll Lift as well. They moved in the Houston area around the beginning of this year. There aren't any details on what they have in the states right now. But, I do know, from our sources with Kamag/Scheuerle, that they are operating K25s and SPMTs out of that yard. I am not sure what model, or make of SPMTs.

It would be great to see some photos. The CC6800 is a serious beast. 6800 by PaulMoarN60, on Flickr 6800 by PaulMoarN60, on Flickr

I rode Sienna (the Ducati) down last night, but it'll be waaay easier to carry the camera gear on Phiona (the Cannondale). The CC68 looked great in the setting sun! I'll post some shots after the next visit. - C

Thanks Michael, some great aerial and assembly photos there. A Sarens PC6800 is 2 miles from me and has been for 2 years but it's just not the same without the tracks. Infact, I can't believe a 6800 is here but I'm not going to see it with the tracks on
