The last model does not look like diecast to me. That looks like machined aluminum to me. Even more impressive in my mind.

It looked like polished die cast to me, but if so (aluminum), it's even more impressive...

SAMF is currently building it's brother in another post.

Hi all,
RMS is right this model is built in aluminum , zinc plates and brass .
To my opinion the JCG model's is the best never built

Besides a little too much lead on the ladders and walkways (it is still in progress I suppose), it is a wonderful project.

He should ship it to me for a touch up session with the Dremel and files... but maybe I would not feel like shipping it back so it may not be such a good idea after alll... Teeth
