Looks great! A splash of red with some fire extinguishers would really help. Do the wheels look ever-so-slightly small compared with the real thing?

I'm glad to know that this is just a sample. It looks a bit unfinished in my opinion. Jamie, Comparing the model photograph to Komatsu's own photo, I would have to agree that the tires look a tiny bit small. It's interesting that you mentioned adding some fire suppression cannisters. I've never seen any photos of a -6 with a system on it, but of course that doesn't mean there isn't one out there. Robert, As the model is shown in the photo; it appears it would be easy to remove the pins from the bucket, but if they put proper pin covers on you would have to get those off first. I would presume the rims are just friction mounted to the "axles", so that should be easy enough to deal with providing they're no made of plastic and glued.

Looks mighty promising. It's been a long time coming for a WA1200 model and I'm sure it won't disappoint collectors.

The only other thing I would want to see (as well as fire extinguishers and slightly bigger wheels) would be lightly tinted cab glass

In the grand scheme of things, if this is as good as it gets I will be happy, providing the cost is realistic of course. (I have been around long enough to remember what models looked like 10-15 years ago), though as others have pointed out, a little fire extinguisher can go along way.....

Nice unit for sure.
The real machine is a real workhorse. The tires look slightly small but this is 'Customer' and boom reach specific.
Also goes for the fire suppression. Tends to be local and not factory installed.

Looks amazing. It will be nice to see the detail in the bucket casting as I don't think the sample photos show it off very well, and as we all know NZG are very good when it comes to detailing.

I feel that NZG are right in the sweet spot for me especially in terms of the bigger rock and dirt pieces. Great fit and finish and pricing.

Maybe now they'd be interested in doing a PC1250! If any manufacturer I'd hope NZG would be it.

We already have an 1100 from Joal... what NZG (or WSI) REALLY need to do is a Hitachi EX1200!!!

I know I would!
