If you're trying to compare that to the Tonkin 994H, I would sure hope that "is how it's done!" Considering that the price tag is $188 vs. $333, I would hope that extra $145 would include A LOT more detail.

Looks like a great model nonetheless.

I've got a deposit down on one, I can't wait. I think that in this case, it's hard to compare it too the 994H because the WA1200 machine itself is more impressive to look at and we have already been treated to a 994, 994D and a 994F. If I had the spare coin, I would have the Tonkin too but for now, the WA1200 can sit next to my 994F. It's a great problem to have.

I've never quite understood the Komatsu mine white / yellow scheme with the haul trucks and loaders. I don't believe I've ever seen any real pictures of a WA1200 in white or any large haul truck in yellow as have been offered in model form. That said, I bet the white WA1200 will look fantastic.

So whats the final verdict on this? Is it able to strip down to transport loads?

Anyone else receive theirs?

My white version arrived a few days ago, very imposing and impressive piece, solid build, weighs a tonne!

I did have the tiny roof antenna broken upon removing, this looks to be extremely delicate, possibly unable even for the soft wrapping paper, also supplied was a small baggie with what looks like 2 beacons inside

Maybe not on a par with the LeTourneau shovel, but deffo closer to them than the 994's of late

Why is "phonetically" spelt with a "ph"?

... It's better to be silent and thought a fool, then to speak up and remove all doubt

The complex of Newgrange was originally built between c. 3100 and 2900 BC,[2] meaning that it's aproximately 5,000 years old. According to Carbon-14 dates,[3] it is more than 500 years older than the Great Pyramid of Giza in Egypt, and predates Stonehenge by about 1,000 years.

Nice big model with some nice detail.

Only downside for me are the 2 screws on the bucket.

With the Tonkin 994

Hi,
Just an inquiry. Just unpacked my WA1200, there are
Two small round orange hazard lights in a slap lock
Plastic bag, are these spares for the headlight assembly
Or do they go somewhere else.
Thanks Shane
