That's great! I live 2 minutes away from one of their depots and i see the wagons quite regularly!
I had thought about re painting my LTR1100 Imto their livery but im too scared I'll mess it up! Lol

Thanks guys. There will be more to come this fall. I am currently doing one that I've been dreaming about for a long time: Mammoet Dakar Titan 8x8. Lots of customization on this one though. If it turns out quite as good as the Weldex, then I'll be happy.  S.

Sure, I may make a new post tonight if I have time. I'm also gathering brass parts for building that slug in HO scale. It's been downtown for the last couple of weeks next to White Birch Pulp & papers plant.: CN 274 yard slugThat's along with slowly building my HO layout. Damn, too bad I'm still too young to retire. Man I cannot believe you replicated that unit so well. Credit to you.
Although the STGO plate is in the wrong place. It's the most important part of the rig IMO.

I always seek for comments in regard to improvements and accuracy to the real one as I try to do them very prototypically as they say in trains modeling. It was actually easier to put the sign over there than in the grille that would have required a very thin plate over it. Still, I may modify it. Can you explain what difference it makes to have it on the right rather than left side? As a note, you must have also figured out that Weldex tends to use Nooteboom low loader trailers rather than Goldhofers, but that was the closest one I had on hand, as these trailers are hard to find, thanks to these limited edition policies that some manufacturers tend to have. Unless you're very lucky on Ebay and willing to throw the big bucks of course... I still need to add some decals on it. Will do soon. Thanks for the precious comments, Stephane

Now moving forward with anoter project for this little collection. Got a container, truck and trailer, now the logical progression is a crane... Target (thanks to Paul):  "/> I am using NZG's fine LR 1300 crane. A well detailed model with a high content of die cast metal. It is well engineered and each track link cand be easily disasembled. It deserves the attention so here we go: 132 links total, all individually repainted:  "/>  "/> For those who wonder, yes, it's sandpaper under them so they dont fly away while spay painted. Stephane

Recent works on this project. I completed the cab and detailed the console and instruments (hand painted), and almost completed the counterweights. Unfortunately, just as I had almost completed the carbody, the clear coat damaged the decals and I decided to start over from scratch with paint stripper. Not the first time; some of my models were re-done as much as four times. If I cannot stand the defects while doing pictures, I rather not leave it that way. Sounds stupid to me to put so much work and time on a model, then ending up with a poor result.  Hopefully, it will be completed before x-mas. Stephane  "/>  "/>  "/>
