I know this is a stupid question but is IMCATS a 1 or 2 Day show? Dan, your table looks Superb, along with everyone else's!

Back in the day it used to be 2 days. Typically, the time after the show Saturday is spent hanging at the store for the "hardcore" people who still come down for the weekend. Just a general question for anyone reading, what would encourage more attendance at these shows (DHS or IMCATS)? Is it that people can't get away from work, or it's too far, or is there really just no interest anymore? We had some great local people come to the IMCATS show and now I don't see them anymore, real disappointing... Dans85, it was my first show and it was worth the drive from Canada. I spent a little over a hour and a half at the show then went to the store down the road where my mind went into overload seeing all the models on display. I will definitely be back next year if they hold it. If the Canadian dollar was better, I paid $1.34 for each US dollar I would have bought more. Maybe if all the business's involved with the diecast model hobby could get together and really promote the show for the good of the hobby it would help.
Yes I own a lot of Norscot Cat models they remind me of my many good years working for a Cat Dealer. Going out to the back forty after work playing with used equipment just moving dirt around

I tried on several occasions to get a show in the Niagara area but the interest is just not there I know there are a lot of collectors in the area and it is sad that we cannot all pull together for a weekend to show our collections and custom models. I would gladly put a show together if I had numbers to support it maybe it's the cost to travel. Rob....

Thanks for the photos posted, but they only show a few of the tables. I see kcmtoys and George Hiram were there, so how about some from their tables? Was Keystone Diecast in attendance? What about Jackie (hang330c)? I suspect there is a lot we haven't seen yet.

I said before Keystone wasn't there, Jackie I believe moved back to Japan and hasn't been heard from in quite some time. Ken had a small diorama which I believe was the one from Open House but he was doing a soldering demonstration for those interested. There was also an airbrush demonstration being done too. George Hiram had a few models to sell, some old gradalls and others. All in all there weren't many dealers at the show.

I wish I could have attended the show this year, but it is hard to tell your niece you won't be at her wedding because you are going to toy show. Then your daughter has a birthday party for your grand daughter's first birthday on the Sunday. That definitely would not go over well with the family. But for sure I will find a way to go next year. There is a lot to learn from all you great minds and better when all at one place.
