Here is a copy of a Talbert Sales brochure of their Scraper Trailer from the 1950's - 1960's. One of the main reasons they came up with this is that the trailers of the day only had an 18 - 19 foot deck. Ken

That is so cool. Where did you find it? Try to sell it back to the company. The trailer hasn't changed all that much. Thanks for finding that. I have the Smith version in 1:48. But CCM doesn't make a 621 or 627 so my CAT 631 and 637 are actually to heavy. The NZG versions and Norscott are 1:50 scale. How much weight difference between a 627 and a 631? I'll cheat a little. I have over 60 sales brochures and pictures, all from the 50's - 70's, Cigarette lighter, an ash tray, decals, a sign and more diecast trailer's than I can count including trailer #1 in 1/64 and 1/50 scale. 621B - 67,000, 627B - 76500, 631D - 103000

KMC, I immediately recognized the company before reading more than an inch down.
Talbert doesn't market well today the diversity of what they have developed or engineered over the years past.

After watching that video, I guess you couldn't haul a TS-14 like that because of the lack of down pressure.

You could haul a TS-14 with a dolly like the Talbert above, but not with a basket like in the video. On the stinger dolly as they are called, you can drop the can to the ground and roll the dolly under the rear. Chain the stinger to the dolly, and the tongue of the dolly is chained up under the rear of the scraper. When you raise the can, it pivots on the dolly and raises the rear tires off the ground. Then just drive the tractor over the back of the trailer. With practice, it is not too hard.
