Those Volvos are great looking. Tonkin made a good looking model, though in 1/53 scale. I see many around here. It must be a great truck for over the road. CAW

Volvo is the only truck manufacturer who had integrated the european and american componet production (engine except).
Eg. the Vn cab is the same of the Fh (with some difference); of course, the rest/bed area is made follow the american way.

I see as many Volvo OTR trucks as I do Freightliners when it comes to fleet trucks. My friend who drives for FedEx loves his day cab. I really want one of the WSI versions of this truck. DHS has one cheap but it's got the gaudy American flag paint scheme, I tend to like regular over the road models as well as heavy haulage.

Models are manufactured by Wsi:

Thank you for the link Fabio, I've been looking for the Ocean Traders version but I was under the impression it was discontinued. It's one of many on my list of models to save for.

This past week

This JD 470 was waiting for the mechanics to take the bucket, stick and counter weight off to haul it away. The last picture is the same machine being hauled complete a few years ago by PE O'Halloran haulage from Maine. $5500 to haul the machine whole by them. This time to save money they broke the 470 down for transport.

Here is a CAT D8R dozer that was next to the 470 that was also waiting to be moved.

This JD 825K was waiting in the cold while its bucket was being rebuilt

This is a Brand new Ram 5500 that just got finished having these snow plows installed. Not too many HD pickup trucks with wing plows on them. This one is a contractor for the town for doing side roads and narrow streets.

I like the wing idea on the Dodge. It sure beats my idea of an old Cadillac door hanging off the side of my flat bed to act as a wing!

Like the picture of the Cat D8K, it's just sleeping. It would roar to life and bury the JD 450 beside it in a minute !!

Yes I own a lot of Norscot Cat models they remind me of my many good years working for a Cat Dealer. Going out to the back forty after work playing with used equipment just moving dirt around

Nothing amazing but some cool machines and trucks. I've been doing some special projects at work that have brought me to a few of our sister companies shops (Pike Industries)

Saw some nice new Komatsu machines today on a local job site.

Sorry for the poor quality. The big machine in the background is a new 360 I think and the machine with the hammer is a 210 I believe.

That Hyster is a beast. I always under estimated those until I saw one lift two full length containers in Thailand. Safety? Pssshhh mo efficient to move two.

Since Business is Booming on the forum I thought I would update my thread with new pictures. I had to take a trip to Milton CAT in Milford, Massachusetts on Friday so I took some pictures.

That 20 ton Eager Beaver looks like it's in a little bit of pain with that 648 on its back!

When you went to Milford, that "374" next to the 349FL, is actually J. Derenzo/JDC's 390FL with custom powerstripe paint job. It's been there for months with emissions issues. Otherwise, it's a beast. Nice pictures!
