It looks pretty nice to me in the standard paint scheme.  But the blue and white version? AAAAAAARRRRRRRGGGGGGGHHHHHH!@#$%^&*()_+

Someone needs to be fired over that blue and white version, it's terrible. The handrails are too thick for my liking.

I had thought the same thing on both models, Martin. The handrails look so thick and just out of place. Also they look like plastic. IMO a very boring model.

If those hand rails were 1:1 they would be like gripping a piece of 3in x 3in timber.

They both look like children's toys. That blue and white is awful. First Gear either hits a long ball, or misses completely. Don't understand why. Their 1/25 trucks are magnificent, as are the 1/34th. The 1/50 sucks. Their old crawlers and loaders are wonderful. Those Komatsu 375s were fantastic.. They need Roy Ferguson to come by and supervise their manufacturing!!!

It looks like the blue/white version has plastic railings. You can see the color mismatch of the blue. That begs the question: why would they change anything on the yellow version? Im thinking that this one is not going to sell very well!

It looks nice, but if those handrails are all plastic, I don't think it's worth the asking price. I'll stick with my Joal WA900.

The handrails are going to be the same on both versions.
I think the blue will stand out more than the black.
It will be the same mould for the handrails.

That white and blue... Kill it with fire!!
I love my 3 1/34 First Gear Trucks. Very nicely done even with the large use of plastic. My only gripe about them is that none of them have working steering.

So with all being said which is the better buy, the WA1200 or the new WA900? Or don't waste the money on either?

If you don't mind filling in and repainting the screwheads behind the spill-guard on the bucket, go for WA1200.
It's a great piece!
I think it's important to remember that in this age of digital photography, literally anything can be filtered or manipulated to looking much different than reality. I'll reserve judgement on the handrail diameter until I see one in my hands. I'm not seeing what you guys are as them being any larger than that on the NZG HD785. Or do you think those are oversized as well?
Hopefully somebody who had one on order and received it last week will post some photos soon?

I have both versions of the WA1200 and they are excellent models, apart from the screw heads. I will also reserve judgment on the 900 until I see a few photos or even a review. If it is anything like the photo though I think I will be giving it a miss. I'm hoping that the white and blue one will be such a fop that they will be sold for peanuts, good for a strip and re-paint!

I plan on getting the white and blue version. I have the other blue and white Komatsu versions that have been released. I think it would have been better if they had left the wheel hubs a solid white, but it definitely looks better than the recent Tonkin Cat loader releases.

When I saw the pictures my first thought was Joal! But they are out of business, so it is really First Gear. It looks like First Gear is taking over the Norscrap factory…. Or the Joal Factory.
I checked but the really asking €189,- for the model here in Europe! Well End of story for me. On the positive side of it. I save some money and some space in my cabinet.
