Last weekend I spent some time at a steam show in Canadaigua NY to remember our history of machinery.
There are a large number of photos that cover almost all areas. From steam to a few old hoes.
All the equipment was running and in use at some point during the show.
Enjoy.

I'm from Geneva (about 25 miles east of Canandaigua) and have been to the show twice. This is also where I got my first 1:50 scale model, it was the Joal Cat 225 Clamshell crane. As a matter of fact I still have that model and is still functional. This show is awesome to see and I kind of makes ya sad too as some of this equipment is one of a kind and once it's gone (too expensive to repair) it's gone for good!!! Also shows how well the equipment was made back in the day!!! Thanks for the pics and glad you liked it!!!

I'm a kid at heart, so I will play with any model construction vehicle from 1:87 scale to 1:1 scale!!!!

Age is a state of time NOT a state of mind!!

Thanks for posting such great photos of vintage equipment. Love the early excavators and cats.

Yes I own a lot of Norscot Cat models they remind me of my many good years working for a Cat Dealer. Going out to the back forty after work playing with used equipment just moving dirt around

'Sounds like i missed something!!!
I should start to attempt these exhibits, instead of going on long road trips in order to find old Equipment and most of the time, find nothing....!!
Thanks a lot for the pictures.
Max.

Cat 245.....Now and Forever

I am looking for industrial auction brochures from Ritchie Bros, Miller & Miller, Forke Bros, First Team Auction, Max Rouse, etc from the 70's, 80's and 90's.I am a collector and heavy equipment enthusiast and these pamphlets are loaded with nice pictures of cleaned and freshly painted equipment.Thet don't have much value once the sale is over but they are a great help to me in preserving the memory of machines that are no longer being built. Please, help my hobby by looking in your old storage boxes and file folders for these old auction sale brochures.Your help is much appreciated.

I grew up attending steam shows in Ontario. Every weekend from early June (Norwich, On) till Labour Day weekend the final in Milton. Starting in '73 till the early 90's.
I know what you mean about the long trips to see nothing. I am in Sault Ste Marie now and have yet to see much of interest. Doing some mine tours the next couple days so it might get better.
