The new Caterpillar 16M3 & 18M3 are announced to the public! I’ve been on this testing project for 3 years so it’s exciting to see it go into production. The first production 18M3 will do a demo this week at Tanaja Hills. Caterpillar 16M3 & 18M3Best Regards, Randy Krieg

Very cool Randy. Great to see you are still with Caterpillar brother. Post up some pics when you can!

Hey Randy,
It's good to see your post! Whayne had a 16M3 out as a field-follow not that long ago and it did great from everything I've heard. I received the proper catalog on it last month.
So now that it's official; please tell us more about the 18M3? Hopefully it's more than the 16M3 with a wider blade and the wastegate calibration changed on the C13 and gets what i assume would be a proper C15 fitting? Larger tires, etc.?
I look forward to your reply, if you choose to.

Now that! Is a road grader! Holy cow! If that the 16M in the picture of love to see the 18M! Hopefully it gets the upgrades Weserhutte is talking about! It would be a shame to see the 18 under powered and under spec'd. A C15 would be awesome!

What a great picture. I will be looking forward to your commentary on the 18M after the official release when you are allowed to give out more detail.
I am sure if you have been closely involved, it will be a real star performer.
Maybe I can con my dealer into a trip to Tenaja to see it and the other toys.
