I thought Tonkin collectibles had received the license to build Manitowoc, Potain, National, Grove and Carry Deck model? One issue I had already found out with Tonkin with the Cat line up of models is they don't offer replacement parts. With that being said if you get a damaged product. You will have to exchange it for one that isn't broke. Which could be costly when returning a large scale model crane because you are missing a few parts. TWH Models went bankrupt from what I understand. The Manitowoc model 31000 was never built. As far as I know I don't even think one in diecast was ever made. But idk I am pretty excited I seen this floating around on facebook. Some guy won a die cast model of the new Mlc 650 crane. Manitowoc newest crane with VPC technology. If it will have VPC Max, Luffing Jib or just main boom form no one knows.

Heard a month ago the guy or co. that has dies and molds wants the money owed them so the twh models probably won't be produced. Hope you are right, can't wait. A shame can't get a quality model without problems.

Guys -

Tonkin does not have the license for Manitowoc. It has been split up a bit with Towsleys holding most of the cards. There are three new models that I am aware of being produced but we have been sworn to secrecy. So you will just have to keep watching the DHS website for more details.

The 31000 project has been looked at by many manufacturers and the numbers just don't work to make the model. I am not aware of any plans to get it done.

annnnnnnnd somewhere tied up in this litigation with Towsleys lies the new Sword beam haulers and pickups id be willing to bet.

There are two rules for success: 1. Never tell everything you know.

Odd if you go on Youtube and watch the video Nuremberg Toy Fair 2015 'Tonkin Replicas' listen towards the end. Thy guy claims they just recently signed a contract with Manitowoc

Just give me the 31000 prototype, since it seems it's just going sit in the warehouse and collect dust! I want that thing more than anybody, it will be in good hands.
