Quinella, Your photographs are not showing up for me, so I borrowed one from the Classic Construction Models (CCM) website: I assume you are referring to the component to the left and below of the lifting eye, over blade hydraulic cylinder. The purpose of those features, (there is one above each blade cylinder), is to deflect any material coming over the top of the blade away from the hydraulic cylinder, preventing damage/scoring of the cylinder. Claus,
Could not agree with you more !
That is why despite the sticker shock, I could not pass on the 1:24 scale version.

Thank you Randy. I knew you would come through. That makes sense to a non technical genius like myself. This is by far my favorite diecast to date. Randy, I can't believe you took the plunge for the 1:24. When you get it, send it to me and let me play with it for a week or two!!!. Thanks, Craig

I agree best looking dozer going I bought all three models from DHS when they where first released . I would get the 1.24 model but the way the Australia government is going with there tax on overseas Items being purchased I would most properly pay double. Bunch of mongrels. Leon.

Hi Quinella, Yes you are right about the price I ordered one when DHS first released that they were being made But had to wait for over year with the problems they had with the manufacturing of the model I myself am very happy with the model very fragile though just a shelf model . I would of liked the model even more if it could have broken down to transport the model If you can afford to get the model I would say go for it they will only go up in price Like all CCM models have. sd90:That was the other question I was going to ask. So they don't break down for transport? What a mistake in my opinion. There aren't many, if any, model lowboys that have a long enough flat part of the bed to haul both the main and the slave dozer. One would have to sit on the bolster. I don't think that would look good. Is the cable the part that doesn't disconnect? I would love to see one . In the pictures, they don't show the connection very well. Can someone post a picture of the two showing the connection? I love this piece, but I would love to show it being hauled .

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9gAYeyUB7oAI have ran equipment all of my life (not claiming to be the best or know everything), but I can just imagine the ringing in your head and the feeling of being run down after a long day of running an open cab DD9H like in that video. Feeling the heat coming off of both machines, the bouncing, smelling the fumes, etc., etc. Good and bad. Somedays after work you get in your pickup to head home and you don't even want to hear the radio. I'm spoiled with my air conditioning, heat and stereo.
