Hello all, I spotted this visitor loading scrap metal yesterday so decided to get some photos as it's an impressive rig and a simple but great livery. This company use an "unusual" method of moving the big Liebherr around. There's no trailer as such but rather the machine is "craddled" between the truck and a dolly at the rear. Hopefully I'll get some photos of that before they leave again. If there was any model. In my humble opinion to be produced for 1\50 collector's. It is this great set up you have found. That would be just plain neat. Added to 1:87 buildlist.

Is anyone aware of equipment like this being transported in the US ?

I'll second that,and thanks for the explanation Paul,I saw the FH04 earlier in the week just hauling the dolly and wondered where the lowloader was,now I know,

One of my favourite rigs on the road at the moment. If I remember rightly, it is a customised trailer made by Faymonville?
Someone over here has a made a custom model of this and it looks awesome.

Remove the high rise and you would have a close replica:  At one time, Gove had available a similar transport method for one of their rough terrain cranes. Not the Grove version but similar:

Nelson Trailers makes a similar system for rt cranes as the one Randy posted and Brandenburg has or had a shop built unit for their Liebherr 984 excavator(s).
