Here is another example of a 1/64 scale truck which I fail to understand why it is not made in 1/50 scale.

You're tarnishing the reputation that dolphins are intelligent by posting this.

Conrad produced a model of that combo long, long ago.

Dolph: I appreciate your post. It is odd that there is not a Mack R series currently made by anyone, since it's so popular. I also feel compelled to apologize to you on behalf of my fellow countryman, "diggger", regarding his insult toward you. For some unknown reason, he seems to take pleasure in insulting the intelligence of many people. If you analyze the post, your comments were that you can't believe a 1/50 scale R Mack series IS not made, CURRENT TENSE. As you may, or may not realize, Conrad did make one back in the 1990's. Corgi did as well, and others maybe. CURRENTLY, I do not know of any manufacturer that makes the R series Mack in 1/50th scale. "Diggger makes the comment that "Conrad produced a model of that combo long, long ago". PAST TENSE. He further insults your intelligence by inferring that your name insults dolphins. Why does he do this? Who knows, but he seems to relish in being a jerk. Read his posts. Many of them are of the same ilk. He appears to be an angry man and maybe Anger Management could help. Perhaps his Mother didn't rock him when he was young. Maybe he was born with a small appendage. There are a million theories, I'm sure. But on behalf of my fellow citizens of the United States, I apologize to you, a citizen of South Africa, one of our close Allies and friends. Oh, and you may find one of those Conrad Mack series, but, in my humble opinion, they suck. Even though it is stated that they are 1/50th scale, they seem really small, much like "diggger". CAW

Dolph- would be great to see someone like first gear make that truck in 1/50. Did ASAM ever make one?

Yes, ASAM made a R model (R600?), RS700L, Superliner, RD800 and the Cabover (I can't remember the model number off hand)Teeth Ken

Thanks Craig - your'e right. I could'nt have said it better myself.

I have many friends sharing the hobby and otherwise in the US, I have worked there on contract and visited in the past and plan to do so in future. I can truly say the Americans are great people, a great nation and it is a great country and I love and respect the US and it's people with my whole heart. I have dealt with Americans over the internet buying and selling scale models for many years and have always been treated with respect and dignity which I will always appreciate and never forget.

And then last but never the least including our great host, there are so many great members on this forum with kindness, excellent views, ideas, customizing skills, interesting discussion topics etc., from whom I and I believe many of us has learnt over the years about this great hobby.

It would as you all know be silly to judge the majority on the actions and stupidity of a few bad apples.

I wish the First Gear 1/34 and 1/64 Mack Rs were 1/50! They are very nice models.

Dan: Your models are wonderful. I wish they rolled, or do they? Also those pictures of that real yellow R Mack are terrific. I just noticed the Mack bulldog on the back of the side mirror. Old trucks are soooo coooooool. Dan you make the Autocar also as I recall. It's 1/50th? What is your website? CAW

I have one of mini hauler's trucks. I like it. I got mine as a kit so I could choose my own colors. The resin parts are well cast.

Fabio - Thanks for photo's. Solido Mack is very nice but unfortunately too small. Corgi is excellent but require a lot of custom work but has the potential to be a very nice end product in 1/50 scale. I have five damaged Corgi Macks that I still have to start customizing.

Mini Hauler (Dan Models) - your trucks look very smart.

Basketball Man - excellent build result from the kit.

Kyle and Cuban - yes the First Gear Macks would look excellent in 1/50 scale.

Craig - very nice photo's on Photobucket.

kcm toys - thanks for info on ASAM trucks.

kcm and Brian - was the Conrad model a "U" and not a "R" ?
