Hi everybody. Just picked up my Cat D10T2 with ripper model! I had debated about pre- ordering this model for months. I finally did a month ago and was glad to see it was still available! I was hoping for a late release(hoping the CDN dollar would improve!) and was surprised to get an email 2 weeks ago that it had arrived and was ready for pick up! I must admit I did not pre-order from our host unfortunately.Sad (I have purchased several models from DHS in the past!) But due to distance and shipping/duty costs!( I am only 1 1/2 hour drive to Buffalo that's all I will say! Silenced) I took a day off work and drove south to make my pick up! Couldn't wait to get home and unbox! This is an incredible model! The detail is great, I like the opening doors and engine access doors and the detail behind them. So glad I decided to get this model it will definitely be one of my center pieces once I get a chance to display my collection! See pictures you will not be disappointed by this model. I was surprised nobody had already posted anything about receiving these models? I only wish I had the budget to get the coal blade version!

Very nice machine, CCM always does a nice job on undercarriage detail. Can the rear catwalk and ladder system be removed? Or are they pinned on?

The catwalk seems to be firmly attached with no visible pins so removing it would damage the model. The ladder pivot mechanism is also firmly attached but there seems to be a screw holding the ladder to the pivot mechanism so I guess it could be removed?

Nice purchase!

Pretty sure I was the other guy wandering around in there while you were there.

Thanks Dan! Uh yeah I thought I had overheard you speaking with Brandon about your snow plow project! It wasn't till later that it registered that it was you. Nice project, always inspiring too see how great some models are after some customization. I am trying to find the time to make my own models too but other priorities always seem to come up! One day it will happen.

CCM pulled it out of the bag with these. Outstanding detail.

There have been plenty of times I've ran into other forum members in the store, always a great meeting place. You coming down to the IMCATS show this year?

One for the experts...why does the exhaust point forward on these dozers?

I was wondering the same thing about the exhaust on the new PR776.

In the product release literature for the 1:1 dozer they make a lot of mention about noise reduction for operator comfort; so maybe it's an effort to direct the exhaust noise away from the cab?

I ordered one today. I didn't know they'd been released yet! Definitely panicked when I saw the usual places were sold out, but I lucked out and found one. Been running a coal D10T for the last 4 years, so I'd be pretty mad if I missed out.

Beautiful model. Nice view IT. Does it get boring sometimes doing the same thing with that big of a dozer or is it still pretty fun?

Its never exactly the same, so it can still be fun. Long pushes get boring though. You do lose track of just how much coal that thing can move. Easy to forget that the little pile you left behind is actually a tri axle load. I have a ton of pics to put up eventually.
