Manitowoc is announcing two new scale models at BAUMA...the 1:50 scale Manitowoc MLC300 and Manitowoc MLC650.

The details surrounding the announcement of these products has come together only this weekend, leaving little time to prepare you with full information. For this we apologize.

Currently, the models are being displayed at BAUMA in prototype form and both projects are moving into the tooling stage.

At this time, our primary goal is to inform you of the BAUMA announcement and assure you that you will have the opportunity to purchase these models through DHS Diecast.

For more info and to place your pre-order follow the links below:

Manitowoc MLC650

Enjoy.

KGV123,

Quoted from the links provided by Korey in his post: "Due First Quarter 2017!"

However, note that tooling has yet to start.

I think price wise these are in line with what the 18000 retailed for. Hopefully they are similar in construction and quality to TWH since I believe some of the same people are involved with development.

I've got both ordered!

1.5K for both cranes can't be called "wise" price. If they will be released 1st Q of 17. Price will be lowered - i can bet.
Anyway, i hope it will be "state of art" models. I will wait for them.

You missed the point. I didn't say they're cheap, which they aren't. I'm saying they are comparable to the 18000 which retailed for $800 and sold out in a short time. I also highly doubt the price will be lowered.

You missed the point. Maybe 650 similar to 18000, but not 300. And price is high. And by the way, i buy my 18000 in USA for 700 usd, that was 3 yrs ago. From a major model dealer that you all know. Not DHS.

Good for you...

I don't have a problem with the price and I'm sure many others won't either.

Your right, I missed that. So why complain about the prices then?

These are very reasonable prices for the size of the crane. The 650 is larger than the 18000 which was made many years ago.

If you think about it, the 18000 was made a long time ago and it listed at a similar price!

Exactly the point I was making, glad someone else sees it too. I guess that comparison is over some people's heads...

I got my 18000 back when they first came out, was about 720 bucks, with shipping in 07. The prices seem fair to me
But either way, theyre red, and have manitowoc on the side....of course I'm getting them! Wink
They are not the 31000.... but they will suffice for now Whistle

Very interesting those new models but i have a complete other question.
Does anybody know a real crane rental company that own one of these models ??
As far as i can see the scale model will be a better seller as the real deal.
No complains here , very happy with new models on the lifting front , just wondering.

Looks like I know where next years income tax refund will go. I can only justify one of these, so more than likely I will get the 650. May cost more, but it will be taller, and seems to have more detail on it.
Looks like I was one of the lucky ones [even though I did not know it until reading these posts just now] as I paid $455 for my 18000. I guess the price for this will just even things out a little.

Eef,
Bigge bought a MLC 650. All Crane bought 10 units of the MLC 300. Crane Rental Corp bought a MLC 300.
