So I got the Wasel LR1600 a few weeks ago, reeved the a frame up and today I got it out of the box again to use as a load on my drake platform.
I've got a couple of broken links in the track.
I find the tracks are too loose on the frames, can I take a link out of each set?

Here it is as set up right now.

Hi Robert, very nice support system for the crane on the big Drake.

My Felbermayr had a couple links too many and I removed those so that the track was taut. You need to keep the links at 90 degrees to separate and assemble. For re-attaching you'll need to maintain tension along both loose ends or else you'll be battling to re-attach links. The best place to put a break in the track is near the spring tensioned drive wheel because then you can squeeze that in to make the final connection of the links. Your thumb and index fingers hold the track links while your fourth and fifth fingers squeeze the track ends (it will test your dexterity [and patience] a bit).

I hope this helps. Take care and have a great weekend.
