Terex has announced the closing of it's Waverly plant. This facility produced their 40, 60 and 80 ton hydraulic truck cranes. rough terrain cranes and boom truck products. Production apparently ceased yesterday afternoon with the immediate lay off of the production staff.

Production will be transferred to their Oklahoma City plant at a future date. This afacility is currently used in the manufacturing of certain crawler cranes.

This represents a significant restructuring of their US crane manufacturing operations.
