Well, the cat is out of the bag now! But before everyone starts going nuts over these new images, a few changes have, or are being made at the factory. First off CATERPILLAR nomenclature will be on the rad, faces, as well as CAT on the apron lift arm, no trans. guard on the coal scraper, more scale-like lube lines on the goose neck, etc., etc., etc. More good things coming from CCM in the weeks ahead. You won't be disappointed!

Not to be an alarmist or anything, but approx. 2/3 of the new 600B series scrapers are spoken for from CCM, with the coal version almost sold out with only a few models available. Revised production totals on these new models from the factory are as follows; 651B-651, 657B-850, and the 657B/666B-450.

Just a quick update. Only a few 651B/657Bs models are left. The coal version is now sold out from CCM, as well as the two new revised D10 dozers.

Hello guys -

An update from CCM was received yesterday and I thought you should know...

- Prices and build quantities for the scrapers have been announced:

Caterpillar 651B Scraper will cost $349.95 and they are making 651 of these. This model is still available to order.

Caterpillar 657B Scraper will cost $364.95 and they are making 850 of these. This model is still available to order.

Caterpillar 657B/666B Coal Scraper will cost $379.95 and they are making 450 of these. These models are sold out.

- Estimated Delivery Dates have been set for these models:

777G Truck and Mega Water Tank Truck - Mid to late September. These models are still available to order.

D10 U-Blade and D10 Push Blade - Early to mid October. These models are sold out.

Scrapers mentioned above - Possibly early November - but this is a real guess.

D9H Double Dude - Possibly late in December. These models are sold out.

Thanks!

Chuck

Yeah, and you should see the price difference between a real 631 and 651......honestly some people would whinge if they were hung with brand new rope.

The 650B scrapers are larger in size, inherently that says to me they will be dearer, the complexity of making this scraper while you may think is much the same as the 631/37 i am sure it is not and there would be some cost considerations there.

According to the dimensions on the CCM website they are the same size?

I think the price could be 10% lower. I was hoping to get several, but won't now. Maybe they are taking into consideration what the 631637 sell for now. $325 would be the magic number

By looking at them, I don't feel they are a $400 model. At least from these pre production photos. The 631/637 look more crisp.

But, who am I to say. People are regularly paying $450 for the 390D, which I think should be $250

Both 385's and the 390 were $250 when they were released, that was the retail price.
