Problems in the coal industry has forced Cat to put its underground mining lines up for sale. Laying off 155 workers, it will close its plant if the sale does not occur.

Today Caterpillar announced the closure of its factory in Gosselies Belgium.
At the factory itself 2200 people will lose their job but the total number will be closer to 3600 people if you take in acount all suppliers that work exclusively for Cat.
