Tommy brought a paving display and a CAT store display - also it was his first time here displaying!

James brought a pipeline display - all of these models were bought second-hand, modified and painted by himself in his dorm room while he's attending college. These were some pretty ambitious projects too! This was also his first year here too!

Since I didn't really have anything new to display from DHS, I brought a little mountain scene. I have a little D6 helping my T880 up the hill. Started on Sunday before the show and finished up Thursday. All the trees over 4" were hand made. The T880 and D6 were modified by myself (sweeps by Lee). Water is from woodland scenics. Few other shots I took during the week as I was building it as well as other people who brought models over to photograph on the display.

Thanks for posting pics for us who were unable to attend.
I couldn't tell the daughter I would miss the grand daughters birthday. That kid scares me.
Hopefully next year I can attend.

Here is what Lee brought to the show, an assortment of his custom models -all modified in some way with either styrene or model mechanic parts. All stripped and painted to his fleet colors. Oh yeah, plus he drove 7 hours with all this stuff packed up Applause

Some around the room shots during setup. This was a new venue, previously they used the fire department down the road. I personally, REALLY liked this new venue much more. It was full of natural light, much brighter, better layout, much better parking to name a few things.

My haul from the show Applause

Finally we wrapped up by going to Teds for dinner then to Niagara falls!

What's the info on the First Gear Pete and Talbert, it says new tooling and is it 1:50 or the 1:34 being rereleased?

This was my second Imcat's show and I totally agree the new venue was great ! I enjoyed seeing the custom modified models and diorama's. Great work everyone !! I got some good ideas to build my own. Just need one more piece and it's on order from our sponsor DHS and that's the new Liebherr PR776 dozer.
I was good at the show until I left and stopped at the store and walked out with a CCM D9H dozer to go with my CCM D9L dozer. Just before I drove off I decided since I was here the lonely looking D11 Carrydozer I saw on a top shelf needed a good home so went back in and bought it LOL
Overall a very enjoyable day and I picked up some great ideas and knowledge from fellow collector's !

Yes I own a lot of Norscot Cat models they remind me of my many good years working for a Cat Dealer. Going out to the back forty after work playing with used equipment just moving dirt around

Looks like there was a good amount of turnout this year. The customs, and dios look very good as well, especially Tom's. First Gear's Mack Water truck looks good but too bad it is not in 1/50th scale. I think Conrad's Volvo NL10 is the only mass produced water truck in 1/50th scale.

Thanks for posting, great photos and some cracking dios there. Love seeing other peoples customs.

I'd love to head over from the UK one year. Won't be displaying though Teeth
