Technically not a model, but here is my submission for the month. Preiser 1/50th scale Construction Workers. Been trying to hunt this one down for like 10 years. Finally was able to add them to my collection. They look great paired with any 1/50 model. Having a field day checking out a truck.

Like Cat345bl I got the Preiser figures. Had been looking for them high and low for over as year. The all of a sudden they pop back up everywhere. Anyway, I guess I will post this one instead which just happened to fall into my lap this week.

Today I got 4 models from the EU. The first three are Tekno models 100% intact in their nice, protective AND supportive packaging. And then in typical fashion, a WSI model in bad shape due to pretty but poor packaging. The vacuum formed trays only touch the model on a few spots which creates stress points on the model resulting in... the picture tells the story. I am not 100% mad since I was going to take it apart for repainting, I only like white trucks.

Hey guys! So all I have for February is the Ford Escort set. Couple minor damages but nonetheless they are excellent! "/> I'm going to take this time to ask for some opinions from my fellow collectors. I know the decision is ultimately up to me but I just wanted some input. Back in December I preordered the Cat 323 and the MLC650. I am definitely going to get the 323 but I'm not positive on the MLC650. I priced it out on DHS and for the cost of the MLC, I could get a couple models I've been wanting for sometime now. Obviously they aren't the original Sword make but WSI will do. Just wanted some opinions. Thanks guys! "/> "/>

Here are a few of the models I received in January. I've yet to take good pictures of what else I've received. I hope these pics work!

One of the newest additions to the collection. Conrad Link-Belt 250X4. Very good model, only issue I have is the stick cannot hold certain poses, but that is not an issue. I have also made the conscious decision going forward to collect only Conrad, NZG (ones from Germany), Joal, and Arpra. Even if I have to collect obscure brands and machines, I do not care for this stuff being made in China now. Only exceptions are things they have not produced (American Trucks), and accessories.

Your decision,is the right one.I agree,Conrad and NZG are, without doubt, the best model-makers.I am constantly, pleasantly surprised at the build quality of both model makers. They always arrive undamaged, due to being well packaged,by them.I live in England, and, for years, have got a lot of models from Germany. They are always very well packed, within a very secure box, then the boxed models are secure in their own packaging.I will always trust them to send anything from Europe,to me,well boxed, ready for airmail, and any form of handling.Where I suspect the damage occurs.I have bought models before, that have been expensive, but, very detailed.I have been disappointed on delivery as they have arrived, damaged. The boxes may have been thrown at some point on the journey.
