Hey guys I'm starting another peterbilt 357 build and I need to extend the frame. I did this already on a previous build with wood but I'm trying to step it up and use brass this time. My question is what thickness brass would you guys recommend use that is pretty close of the frame rails. Thanks!!!!! Cool

I've used square brass tube cut lengthwise to form C channel and filed down to the right thickness for my frame extensions. I would have preferred to use rectangular brass tube but I couldn't find any the right size for a Sword truck frame. You can use styrene and/or filler to fill in the C frame so it matches the square frame.

Nice. How did you attach the brass to the die cast frame?

If I filed a little too much of the frame and it's not a good tight fit I'll use some 5 minute epoxy as it fills the gaps better. If it's a good snug fit then I use super glue.
