Came home today to find a box from 107 Karl Street, Berea OH. Almost 4 years later, I am seeing the Sword 1/50 Ford F-250 In Person. All I can say is that Sword did a good job. The two things I do not like about this truck is the black rims (I plan on swapping them out with the chrome ones from the other colored Fords), and the antenna, I don't think it looks right.. I do like the fact that the white F-250 are in the XL trim. If anyone is unfamiliar with Ford trims, the XL trim is the base model, with manual windows, vinyl flooring, none of unnecessary stuff in the higher end trucks. XL Trucks are more based for fleets, and it is more common seeing construction companies running XL trim trucks. Also XL trim trucks do not loose their styling as fast as XLT and up trims that look outdated after a couple of years. I know I am not the only one getting these, so lets see your Fords The White truck fleet is starting grow. The reason I like the color white for fleets is because it is the most popular color in the world for vehicles, especially for commercial vehicles. In my opinion any vehicle made in 1/50th scale should be offered first in white, not until another color passes it popularity. My second favorite would be navy blue, then red.

How's your tailgate? One of mine refuses to stay up.

I received my orders this week, I'm very happy with my Fords! Thanks Chuck, DHS Employees, Sword! It was a lot of work and a long wait, but this is a really great addition to the marketplace. Also thank you guys at DHS for getting everything shipped out so fast - it was a pleasant surprise to find the box sitting on my steps yesterday evening. Here are a few photos of mine. The blue truck is actually much darker then it appears, I added a comparison shot with the blue trucks so people can see how it compares with other blue trucks, it's by far darker then the other trucks. Also the white truck is a little more off white then the Sword T800 - I think it's closer to the white Tonkin used on their white 972 loaders, but I haven't placed them side by side yet. I purchased white, black and blue trucks as well as the escort set - which I decided to change up a little bit. I really like the packaging, mine arrived with no issues. The removable hitch is a great idea and it's really well executed. The accessories that came with the escort set are fantastic, I hope those will be offered as a stand alone accessory in the future? The white truck/black wheel look is starting to grow on me, it's a little different and I like it. If I had to suggest a direction to go in from here, I would definitely vote for trailers. I think a pintle hook or gooseneck trailer would really compliment these trucks. The DCP landoll trailer looks good with the truck, however the hitches are not compatible. Some advice, I flipped my truck over to mount the height pole bracket, however in the process I bent the radio antenna. Fortunately it's wire and I was able to straighten it out, but just keep that in mind when mounting accessories. The backrack mounts to the bed via two drilled holes, the escort set has these holes drilled but the other trucks DO NOT. If you do decide to drill the holes out, use caution because it's very easy to blow out the side of the bedliner. I used my largest micro drill bit and a small awl to help form the holes. You're last picture with the pickup on the roll-off is how most Peterstrokes feel at home!!!
They are good looking models though.
Are you an enviromentist, or do you work for a living?

They are good looking models though. Beat me too it. Just how I like my fords. I've got 51 of them and one escort set. Only downfall with my escort set is one truck is missing the headlight and I'm also missing a tool box and headache rack. Besides that haven't had a chance to look at the others.
Anything is possible if you don't know what you are talking about.

Hey guys -
Keep the comments coming...
Scheggaboochee - try pushing hard on the tailgate into the up position - it should "click" into place to hold up. When I first received the samples I had the same issue but the factory told me about that trick.
Gotta go ship more Fords...

Great pictures (especially the one on the rolloff!). It would be nice to see the Ford next to a DCP Silverado, if anyone has both.
The box says "2016 F250". Is that true? I thought this was a model of an earlier production year.

I wish the doors didn't open. The panel gap is ridiculous, it screams TOY from two miles away.

Thanks Brandon, it's only random stuff to take up space for the time being.

I'm really hoping that this is the doorway that leads to either the f350 dually or the super duty trucks.🤔 I've been waiting for a ford dually that actually looks like something for some time. Need a good looking pickup rig to pull my backhoe loaders.🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽👈

I've been reading a lot of trucks are missing things such as the hitches, headrests on the back seats, and headlight covers to name a few. Upon further inspection of my black crew cab, I found this What a bummer.

I think the headrest issue was meant to be at least on the extended cab trucks. All 4 of mine only have a drivers side rear headrest. The sample photos Chuck posted in his blog are the same way. All 5 4door trucks I got have both rear headrests.
Out of 9 trucks I got I wasn't missing anything but I had a few loose mud flaps, a broken mirror and loose headlight cover. A little glue took care of those issues.

Don't get me wrong here, I think the F-250's are excellent. I really enjoy mine. I just wish the quality on some was a bit better. My 4 door F-250 from my escort set looks like it was tested by the army. It's all scratched up, missing paint and parts, and what is there is broken. The truck has 3 paint chips on the body, missing paint on the grill, a broken oversized load sign and back rack, and it doesn't even have a radio antenna. My long bed version on the other hand is spotless...completely fine. I don't know if I am the only one having this problem or not but that's my 2 cents.

Watch the cranes etc video of the girl testing the WSI crane at the factory. Certainly explained to me how things get broken. Would be like letting my 1 year old carry a crane around the house and hoping it doesn't break.
