Dismantled a 4100 crane for repaint last night, the louvers on the side of the cab are plastic and are superglued in place. Anyone have any suggections for releasing the glue without destroying the plastic?

With a razor blade you can scrape them off very carefully. That's what I always do with things similar to this. If you do happen to scratch it, just touch it up with some paint.

The commercial cyanoacrylate solvents will damage paint and plastic so it's very risky to try that route.

Yes, use a razor blade, X-acto knife or very thin saw (X-acto makes a fine saw blade that fits their handles). No, don't use any type of solvent or acetone on the plastic parts!!

Once you cut the parts out check them and sand them off to make them fit properly too!!

I'm a kid at heart, so I will play with any model construction vehicle from 1:87 scale to 1:1 scale!!!!

Age is a state of time NOT a state of mind!!
