Anyone have any idea what's in the pipeline for DM in 2018...1:50 scale in particular? I heard a rumour of another hydraulic mining shovel...maybe a 6060...but it's just a rumour!!

Ap300f - 305.5e2 - 316/315f - 318K/m - d3k - D6N. But those are just my hopes and dreams.
If anything it's gonna be some of cats top selling equipment or most viewed by the public i.e: 330d/e/f, 966k/m, 320d/e/f, 259d, 420d/e/f. It seems to be a tell tail sign of what models will be made. More than likely and I'm almost 100% positive we're gonna see the new 320 design in 1:50 just because it was featured in a transformers movie and the 20T line of cat excavators are the top selling class size.

The "Evolution" series is also being released but really they are just rebadged models again. Loaders: 966A & 966M and Track Loaders: 977 & 963K. Basically it will be a set of the 2 models just showing the early days version and the modern present machine to this day.

well. if they go by what the public sees they should make service trucks because our 336e and 938h machines are the most unreliable pile of crap machines ive ever been around.

I knew it!, DM is making the next generation 320. Those shovels are the ugliest looking machines to be on market IMO. I don’t wanna see what the scale model ends up like. https://m.facebook.com/ModelNews101/Awesome news about the 1:50 349F xe definatly will be getting that!

I'm a little disappointed to see there's no new logging equipment coming out but I'm not surprised. My Facebook page: NorCalDiecastCustomsClifton

I absolutely love the look of the new 320, very different from anything out there. Looking forward to buying multiple new excavators YEAH! Can't wait to see what a 100% Diecast masters excavator model looks like next to a CCM.

Disappointed again thanks DM, not one new HO model. And the locomotive announced last year still isn't even out yet.

I don't see what's so ugly about the 2018 320. It looks clean and simple. I really disliked the C generation of Cat's newer excavators, I always thought the cab looked goofy.
It DM still putting those stupid becons on the cabs and the little operator figurines inside?

I personally don't like the look of them, I've become accustomed to the E/F series cabs but the body of the 2018 320 just looks awful to me almost like a weird robot. I'm more partial to John Deere and komatsu's way of styling.

Would have been interesting to see DM do a 5,000LB Diesel or Propane Pneumatic Forklift in 1/50th scale or a some mobile generators in the 60KW and 200-375KW Range from Cat for 2018. It would have been nice to see some other models in 1/50th scale then earth moving equipment for a change.

The D7E ‘pipeline’ version looks good. Like a good donar model to make a 8T or 6T into a sweet pipeline or logging machine!

Agreed as the same goes for Paving Equipment, not one new model introduced as it has only been 13 years since they last released a new paving compactor. Even though it looks like they are tweaking some of the older castings and updating them with current nomenclature and some additional detail/componentry they could do the same with the AP600D/AP655D and make a AP600F/AP655F. There's always 2019, 2020 or who knows how long the wait will ever be.........
