I got a little more time off than planned this week and I decided to finish the Deere 1050K I started before Christmas.

It's a Neil Dillon D8 angle blade kit which I stretched to fit the 1050.

I needed something oilfield related to display with the bed truck I got last year, and since I haven't seen one done yet, I went for a 1050 rather than an 8.

Is there a real 1050K out there with an angle blade? If so; please post photos?

As modelmaniac stated; more about the twin-steer Kenny please?

There are a few angle blade 1050s as well as side booms running in Alberta!

Just seen photos yesterday of the side boom, they look not to bad actually.

Love the bed truck.

I've seen the Brandt 1050 pipelayers, but never the angle dozers. Do you have any photos to share with the blade attached and/or working?

Have you seen the 950K with PAT around you?

Nah, never got to see one with a blade on yet. Although, I saw pictures of the one I posted with the blade on. I actually just spotted a 950 at the local Brandt dealer last week, and the 1050 next to it also had an angle blade.

Thanks for posting. I have only seen a 950 with an angle blade, never a 1050 around the Chicago area.Whistle

Is that a diecast blade kit, or resin?

I think it's pewter, or whatever that kind of alloy is called. It's pretty soft metal, really easy to work with.
