Construction Toy AuctionWent to an auction last weekend. A gentleman was selling his collection off at auction. He had about 400 pieces altogether from Ertl First Gear Scale Models Conrad NZG and Norscot. Some newer some older stuff all in excellent condition. All in boxes. Overall it was a pretty good auction and seemed to be run efficiently. The only thing I did not like was that there was internet bidding and if an item had a pre-bid on it, that was the starting bid in the room. Probably a third of the collection never got a bid in the room because the internet bidder already had the number in. I think most of the stuff probably sold for about what it was worth, maybe a hair less. Definitely some steals in there though.
