Hi guys , i have been busy again with drawing and 3D printing.
This time it's a diesel hammer D62-22 3D printed , I made 3 versions in 1:50 scale.

1 : Is the basic model with no guides , so it does not fit on any device.
It is intended as load on a truck or in a crane , or as a piece in a diorama.
Also usable for scratch builders who want to make their own guides for a custom lead.

2 : Is the model that is intended for the swinging lead it has a starter mechanism and guides for the swinging lead.
And of course a swinging box lead made from separate parts so you can make it the length you like.

3 : Is the model that is intended for the Weserhutte W180 from NZG.
Although i think it is a bit big for this crane it is much better than the original hammer.

Some basic skills with spray painting could be handy.
Not much else need to be done as spray painting.
Some hoses could be glued on later to give it a nice touch but it is not necessary.

For both models ( weserhutte , swinging lead ) there are 2 hats.
1 for a square pole 8MM and 1 for a pipe 12MM.

There is a square pole also but that could be easy self build as well.

Working on the 1:87 version , will be there in a week or so.

Everything can be found and ordered here :

Very interesting project. It's amazing what CAD and a 3D printer will do. Robert

Nice project. I might need to get one. Stupid question but could these hammers be run with a hydraulic RT crane?

I have seen it a few times but i would not do it if it was my crane in real life , and i guess this one is to big.
Good reason to buy a nice crawler Teeth Teeth

Eef, very nice work on these pile hammers, I like the fact that they are modular and they can built based off the size of crane that will be used with it.

I seen a RT crane with a swinging lead style hammer, but it was quick job to drive about 12 solider piles for a trench. Ideally you would need a conventional or crawler lattice crane with 3 drums to run a swinging lead, one line is for the lead, one for the hammer, and the other for the pile. Unfortunately there are no 1/50 cranes out there with 3 drums. I think you can get around this by using a second crane to feed the pile.
