   Wayne 4x2/2 inter-cities bus of an unknown type (modified Dinky Toys model). Early 60s, Dinky Toys produced first the school bus version (today pretty rare and expensive), then that inter-cities version. The original Wayne bus:   Regards. Guy

Guy did you do any customizing on the fire trucks because they seem very detailed? They are good looking models were these also purchased from a newsstand? Your beam load is also very nice.

I haven't changed anything on any of the Del Prado models, they are "direct out of the box": I got them on e... but they were originally issued for newsstands. I must admit that they are pretty well modeled (considering their ridiculous low price: I paid them only a few Euros/piece). The only negative comment I would have is about both Renault 4x4 light trucks having too large front lights.
I used a Corgi load which was originally carried on a 4-axle truck + a 2-axle dolly. The only thing I did was to add ECIM decals and calculate their weight.

SAVIEM tipper being built by Jean-Jacques. The cab is from Corgi origin:   At Pastor Manager's request (the largest civil engineering company in Monaco), Jean-Jacques commissioned MiniCams to build a Renault Lander 6x2 model, as the one used by the company. In the 90s, a 500 tonnes capacity crane of Dutch craneage company Van Seumeren (which should take-over the other Dutch giant Mammoet a few years later) and 2 of its support vehicles:  From left to right: - Mercedes-Benz 3550S 8x4/4 tractor (Zon Models kit to be finalized) and Nooteboom OVB 102-06 6-axle ballast carrier semi-trailer (other Zon model to be completed: workshop 10' container to be added at front and Hiab crane to be installed at rear of the flatbed). The combination is loaded with the AC1600 counterweight support plate and its winch (18.8 tonnes), 4 counterweight slabs of 10.3 tonnes each (Zon Models elements to be painted) and 4 outriggers pads (homemade), - Demag AC1600 hydraulic telescopic crane on its Demag 18x8/18 carrier (Zon Models), - Volvo F16-T47 8x4/4 tractor (modified IMC model) and its Nooteboom MCO 121-08V 8-axle semi-trailer with extendable low bed (modified Tematoys model) carrying 8 counterweight slabs of 10.3 tonnes each (Zon Models elements). Early 70s, Scammell Lorries Ltd built - in response to a precise scope of work defined by British Road Services - the Crusader, a 220 or 280Hp 4x2 tractor. This vehicle went in large numbers in BRS fleet and was later offered to other British carriers:  The slightly modified Corgi version of that combination:    Scammell Crusader 4x2/2 tractor (Corgi model) and Crane-Fruehauf 2-axle flatbed semi-trailer (modified Corgi model) carrying a sheeted load (Corgi element). 1/50 scale dioramas builders often complain about the difficulty to find cars in that scale. Even if a few light vans can be found in kit form in a 1/48 or 1/50 scale (ASAM or Minicirque for example) and diecast ones available by Corgi, WSI or Siku, there is almost no car at that scale. One should note that, prior to the 70s/80s, quite a lot of cars sold widely as 1/43 models were in fact... built in 1/48 or even 1/50 scale. Two modified examples of numerous Dinky Toys models, built in Britain in the sixties in a 1/48 scale:   Left: Jaguar MK2 3.4L, right: Rolls Royce Silver Wraith. Recently, Siku produced a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 416 CDI light truck/van in a 1/50 scale:  To be continued. Guy

Guy great shots of the garden nothing wrong with being out there with the models, this is what keeps us young. My yard is all ledge so I have to do my dioramas in the basement, which isn’t a bad thing because right now we are getting 8” of snow. The 50 scale cars would make the dioramas that much better however we can’t have Rolls Royce’s pulling up to the construction site otherwise the customers would think they are paying us to much because we are paying our employees to much, not that they don’t deserve it. See if you can get Jean-Francois to build us some Buick’s or Fords from scratch, he would have a huge market over here. Also your replication of the Scammell from the real truck in the picture is very well done.
