Has everyone seen the new WSI Kenworth T800 in Mammoet livery pulling a European 8 axle Brochius Lowbed? There's one on Ebay now. My question is what Euorpean companies use Kenworth t800s? Does Mammoet in Europe? For the most part, all I see in Europe are Cabovers because of the tight roads over there. Any comments? CAW

Quinella,

I suspect that new Mammoet set to be a pure fictional assembly of existing WSI models.
I haven't found yet any evidence of Mammoet using a Kenworth T800 outside US and Canada and I suppose that the Broshuis SL100 lowbed semi-trailer is not exported to North America, as its architecture is far from complying with Bridge Formula requirements (in terms of axle spacing for example).
The only possible place where such a combination may be used could be Middle-East: is there any Mammoet Kenworth T800/ Broshuis SL100 there? I don't know.

Regards.
Guy

I got a flier from Mammoet Store a few days ago regarding this model and it did have what appeared to be the T800 with Broshuis SL100, only without the 3axle insert. I’ve no idea where the photo was taken and don’t have the flier anymore.

Thanks,

Paul R

Gents,

My apologies, apparently Mammoet do operate such a combination.
If you go to the 6th picture of the Kenworth/Broshuis model page displayed on Mammoet Store site, it shows a real unit loaded with a Liebherr heavy crane carbody in a harbour, somewhere:
https://www.mammoetstore.com/schaalmodellen/schaal-1-50/mammoet-kenworth-t800-lowloader.html

Looking at the writing on the door of the T800 (fleet Nr 100712), it seems to indicate "------ TX": is this outfit in operation with Mammoet in Texas?

Regards.

We have those goldhoffer type trailers in US. I know J Supor uses them a lot here in Jersey. More of a last 20 years or so type of thing with all the new axle laws but they are gaining popularity.
What's more awesome to me is that Kenworth 848 on bottom of page they have listed.Applause

Yes Ken, I cannot wait for the Mack F700. I don't think I would pair it with the Brochius lowbed. I have both the 3 and 4 axle Mammoet Rogers. Just not ready for a Europena trailer yet. And that guy's price is too high like most of his items. Chuck's will be less I bet. Chuck always gives the best prices, right Chuck????????? CAW

Quinella I thought you were a “dirt guy”? What is all this talk about trucks. Also I think you need a wrecker for your Freightliner.

It is stuck deep in bed cover material. With that vessel on the trailer you will most likely need a tow, unless you walk back to your equipment yard and get Big Allis. That will be a walk in the park pulling that on to some nearby hardwoods. Plus I’m sure you don’t have floats on the front of the Frieghtliner, so if you put it in low gear and go forward with no floats it will only push you straight.

Smart Alec. You don't know squat about my 50 acre yard. All you do is play in mud puddles! CAW

Quinella your right because I do get a lot of rain in my basement. I’m a poor site guy, so I don’t have 50 acres like you high phaluting southern truckers that transport goods that fall off of other trucks or friends with names like Rocco, Bruiser and Little Tony.
I’m from the northeast, we are a kind people that live by simple means.

No Steve you carpetbagger, my brothers are named Bubba, Dewayne, Delbert, and my other brother Delbert. Now put one of those Home Depot buckets over your head and pretend it's a CPAP. CAW

No worries. We are friends. He just likes to pick at me cause I have so many trucks that he wants. I may play on the carpet with my trucks, but Steve spends 12 hours a day in his basement playing with his toys. He's got it bad. His wife has forgotten his name. CAW

Craig now wants me to try building him a 1-50 scale top of the line Dyson vacumn cleaner, for when his frieghtliner runs into a piece of cheese that fell from his sandwich while having lunch on one of his long hauls from the master bedroom to the guest bedroom which is at the opposite end of his mansion. Also as mentioned before Craig is really a “closet dirt guy”, the trucks are for when he gets bored.
I only spend 11 hours in the basement and my wife still calls me good looking.
Those a/c units just keep getting pushed back.

Craig we are known as “The Ocean State”. I hope no one from Fedral Hill in Providence reads this or you may be greeted tomorrow morning by some guys who’s first names end in vowels not their last, so don’t be surprised if you have 6 or7 Cadillacs in your driveway with tinted windows. Just don’t answer the door they will break it down.
