I got my Mack F700 today. Over all, it is a nice model. There is a fair amount of plastic, wheels, steps, air intake, mirrors, marker lights, engine, front bumper, and fuel tank. The frame and cab are metal. The plastic parts are finished very nicely and don't have the appearance of plastic. Has a very detailed Mack (I'd say a 300) engine with detailed paint and cab paint is perfect. I did not find it to be too thick. Cab interior is nice and the correct color. One big issue is that it comes with a weight box, but NO REAR HITCH! The tires are some of the best I have ever seen, but the wheels (which have nice backing plates) could use a little improvement. The front bumper has only one tow hook /pin on the right side, and would look better on both sides of the frame ends. The bulldog is missing from the bottom front of the doors. The camel back suspension is cast into the frame and does NOT have Mack Differentials! There is no deck plate and the air lines-light cord are short and need to be replaced. Spare tire should be eliminated and another fuel tank should be in its place. The cab should have duel air horns and the beacon light be in the center of the front or rear of the cab, not the right side. The rear light bar is nice, but don't understand the one amber light in place of a second white light. Must be a European thing. I think this version is going to be the closest you are going to come to a US Mack. Mine is going to be hooked to a Talbert, and now I will have to buy a piece of Mammoet iron for a load . As for the price, you will have to decide. Thanks Ken for the thorough review. Sounds like an okay model. I'm not sure it's worth $179.00. Then you may have to do custom work to it in order to get it up to US specs. I think I'll wait until my Teckno Mack arrives. It may not be any better. The WSI Mack looks great though. I think $99.00 would have been a better price point., especially when there is no trailer with it. CAW

Ken thanks for posting the pictures, It looks nice Under the Talbert Lowbed just need the hydraulic tank behind the cab. Shouldn’t that air horn be round in the front instead of being square due to the time frame in which that truck was built. Also agree about another fuel tank instead of the spare, won’t be good for long hauling. Quinella will probably have to stop a couple times to refuel when he is hauling heavy equipment from one end of his townhouse to the other unless he adds a second one while they are switching out the manual trany for an automatic. May have to purchase one for parts I need a bulldog for the front hood of my Conrad Mack. Steve

You know what fish are don't you? They are the little slimy things that swim in the ocean. So you are looking for a bulldog huh? Funny, I have extras on my B-Macks. Too bad you're a smart Alec. That picture you sent me is very telling. CAW

The white with blue graphics that you can pre-order does have a second fuel tank though.

That Talbert has a pony motor, hence the hydraulic tank is in the trailer neck.

Barkerjoh, Quinella gets new carpet twice a year but it is not from the mileage, it is from the dampness in the carpet due to the drewl he creates partly from making the truck noises but mostly due to his age. As far as road side stops there are an awful lot of them, again due to his age and because he forgets to put the “adult diaper on before he gets in his cab”. Steve
Quinella, Fish tiny slimy things that swim in the ocean? The only fish you know of are wrapped in Golden Arches paper and have yellow cheese on them and knowing you, you probably ask them to super size it in which case they are not tiny. Steve
Kcmtoys, sorry Ken I did not look hard enough at the gooseneck, so I overlooked the pony motor and tank which is usually a mistake KingoftheroadQuinella would make, I must be getting old. Thanks Steve

Anyone of you guys know anything about these ones. Are they available or sold out. I would love this truck in my collection. Or where I could find one. https://www.mack-shop.com/eshop/p/2461/mack-f700-model-white-bluehttps://www.mack-shop.com/eshop/p/2460/mack-f700-model-american-flag

Aren't those the new Teckno versions? If so, they were sold out in pre-orders in Europe mostly. I have the next version on order. Chuck says it's hard for him to get Teckno models for some reason. CAW
By the way, those are from the Mack shop and notice the price.

Yes Ken, but did you look at the price of the Mack Store model. That's more in line with what the pricing should be in my opinion. You can add small details for next to nothing. Fellows, at some point we must tell these mfgs that their prices are too high. CAW

Quinella are sure you don’t have one of those blue and white ones floating around in your lingerie draw, because I know you find different models in there, and why your in there in the first place concerns me. Actually when your taking your Freightliner cross townhouse do you take your 6 inch heels and pantyhose off or do you do it in furry slippers. Sorry to get off topic but please check that draw for a blue and white one for Barkerjoh, and I agree the blue and white are a nice combination on that F700. Steve
Ken do you think that air cleaner will be easy to take off and paint, because I’m going to take the elephants off the doors and the name off the front. Once that is done I’m thinking the air cleaner would look good white. Also add some white mud flaps to the back and some white Quinella Flaps to the front bumper, maybe even a second diesel fuel tank and mount the spare behind the cab but in front of the hydraulic tank which will probably be white in color also. And last a nice white Kysor A/C unit on the roof and then I will go back into a Sword Peterbuilt box and get out the extra air horns that originally came with the model, the round ones. Also reposition the beacon to the back of the cab. Steve

You are the exception. Secondly, when you walk that big ole Irish Wolfhound, make sure the Workman's Comp guys, who are hiding in the bushes, don't see you.

Craig it is cold outside today so I am just staying inside and watching reruns of “Moving On”, “Ellen” and following posts on the forum. As far as the spelling, my wife typed that one sentence also that is how we spell Peterbuilt up here in RI. As far as grammar your period is not placed correctly after Peterbuilt and I doubt your wife typed that sentence so that is completely your fault. As far as my Irish Wolf Hound I won’t be walking it, I have a saddle for him, he will be Ubering me around and with the dogs at my house no one hides in my bushes. I thought you were retiring? Steve.

One thing I would change on the techno is the exhaust. Would need to be a coffee can version. Blue and white with an old freuhauf flatbed. Couple coils now that is my childhood

You are right barkerjoh. That exhaust looks too small. Steve, the period is exactly where it is supposed to be. And why does your wife type all your communications? Can't handle the keyboard eh? CAW
