TWH/Sword is still king of 1/50 diecast imo Can't knock them to be honest but for me, Drake Models are now king. IMC are not doing bad with their new MB trucks but WSI are laguishing in terms of quality and are having QC issues again. I had several models delivered at the same time last week and 3-4 of the WSI ones had some form of damage. Paul R

Sad part that Drake only concentrates on the Australian market.

Both Drake trucks I have had missing parts/body blemishes out of the box. Same with the Centurion Ballast Box I got. Major paint scrapes and blemishes, at least for something that should be relatively perfect OOTB. I too have had many issues with WSI models OOTB, but their yellow 9150 is particularly nice and their ZX870 is still the best excavator model on the market (except that ugly bucket). The one I am most impressed with currently is Weiss Bros. I opened the Sarens 4100 and it was laid out beautifully in the package. A definite throwback to TWH days of greatness. Definitely agree with the Sarens 4100 crane. It is a lovely model.

I should know the answer to this but I don't. Why did TWH stop producing models? Thanks,

I believe they went bankrupt by venders not paying for their orders.

I sold 2x yellow versions for $1,350 each on eBay years ago.

So...I got me a 3x3x3... for quite a bit over retail. Of course it is beautiful. It needed a little light attention but was still in excellent shape given the age and storage. The amount of detail is staggering. There is no way it could be done today for the price point of the time of original retail. I also have the fermentation tank but I think the IMC XFMR looks better on it. It is an HLI Rail and Rigging, which I did not know they made...unless someone got it customized? Here are some pics: What I found to be quite interesting is that the older 379 models were not all through on the grill? I did not know this as I thought they were all through on the grill since the beginning. WSI on the left, Sword on the right: PXL_20220415_204145381 by riveras2007, on Flickr I was also wondering if anyone could tell me where these pieces go? I have no clue. Very nice! I don't have one now, but I think that cross braced stand goes between the neck and the jeep when you disconnect the deck from the neck.
