I was reading through some old spec sheets and noticed the Poclain 160CK and the125B havea lot of similar dimensions as well as the same air cooled in line 6 engine. Did the 160 simply become the 125B?

Yep, looks like I got my specs goofed up. I did some more research, this time in French, and found a lot more info on various forums and archives. The 160 preceeded the 170B with the changeover happening in 1985. Most things stayed the same, but the 170 got a bigger improved undercarriage and some new boom, sick, and bucket options. Engine compartment panels were redesigned along with the addition of the new cab windows.
