Hi everybody, I've gotten started on a new project: A Caterpillar 345B LME Big shout out the DHS user Antho for discovering that we can use the 349L as a donor parts machine. Dex looks like it’s going to be a nice build, also a great video for someone interested in making a 345B.

Steve Absolutely, it's a great starter model. You can go as simple or as complex as you want. Parts are easy to get, and the basic cuts are super simple.

Dex your attention to detail is great, the interior of the cab is incredible. A couple of suggestions, first you have to pay a little bit more attention to the kitty and second a CAT key in the ignition would be incredible detail especially it you could rotate to the on or off position. The second suggestion should be a breeze for you and with your week or two off it should not be hard to show the kitty a little bit of love either. Another very interesting video great job.

Steve Hahaha, she's a bit of a demanding kitty, but she get's spoiled rotten. The key in the ignition would be insanely small! I'll consider it, but I can't make any promises. Thanks for watching, and thank you for the compliments!

When your Finish you should do a small production run of that ME stick once you have enough interest to do so. That look very impressive.

Dex that work is incredible, the pin holders and hydraulic lines are amazing and there are no manufacturers of diecast models out there that do what you are doing. I think that 345 is going to turn over and start digging.

I have never seen removeable pin holders in 1/50 scale before.This is insane! And the pipework is absolutely fantastic! You really deserve much more views and subscribers on Your channel Just two little thoughts You might consider for future projects.When You created the new mounts that hold the stick cylinder on the boom,You could have made two cuts in the boom and inserted the mounts into these cuts.It would be much more stable like this and You don´t need any visible plate between the mounts on the boom. And for those rings that hold the hydraulic pipes on the cylinders,I prefer to take telescopic antennas that you can get for small money on ebay.The telescopic sections cover a lot of different diameters and the tubes are very thin.Just cut of a little slice from a antenna section and you have your mount. Anyway,I learn a lot about metal works and how to solder things together from the videos.
