Merry Xmas to all , hope everyone is kicking back relaxing and enjoying the break . Time for a new project and something a bit different from the Oz style trucks , so having a go at an 'Oilfield truck' i believe they are called . It was almost a shame to start chopping up a C500 , they are a nice detailed model , but it had to be done .. Got the new rear tyres printed , filling in the hole in the back of the cab is next . Lots of cutting n shutting to do , this one is going to be interesting.... IMG_2249 by Marty Khull, on Flickr IMG_2251 by Marty Khull, on Flickr

Loving the look of those tyres. They look like they can handle off road terrain, easily.Loaded,or unloaded.

Marty after what I have seen you build already that red Kenworth oil field truck will be a walk in the park. Keep the pictures coming as you progress on it. Love those tires. Steve

Bit of brass , bit of styrene and a good dose of 5 minute epoxy and we have a stretched chassis . Pure dumb luck but std off the shelf brass and styrene were spot on size wise . Modelmaniac...going yellow I think to match the other 2 . IMG_2264 by Marty Khull, on Flickr

Marty looks good and very heavy duty. Those tires look great with that oil field set up and the twin steer. Keep up the good work. Steve

It looks great, a lot of long but fun hours I bet. Very nice job with the soldering, I have done some of those types of steps, it takes talent. I am still working on the "talent" part, lol. Gregg

Marty that’s a real nice looking beast, can’t wait to see it in full paint. Are we ever going to see any of your customs in Chuck’s auctions? The question mark is for our most senior member (Q) who’s wife was an English major. Steve
