I have been waiting to get this model ever since I first heard about it years back! I am an absolute crane fanatic but in my opinion this shovel is a must have for most collections! It is massive and the working lights are very impressive. I added in some pictures of my ltm 1050 to show off the size of this thing. I thought I better grab one before I can't anymore.

It's a great model isn't it. I have the first TWH version. Mine has black mesh grille panels covering the whole of the upper structure, but I can't see them on yours - are they yellow or not there at all?

EDIT: Aha, I've had a look at the Weiss Bros website and I can see the mesh grilles are there but in yellow. That's great, because I think they are wonderful details that add even more to an already amazing model. It's a brilliant model.

Yea this model is probably one of my personal favorites. I might do some custom painting to add more detail to the operators cab. Now to finish off the scene I will need the CAT 797.

Yes I would love it if the monitors had displays on them...

yes indeed, and green tinted glass too. I've seen Richard Fowler's remodelled interiors on these and the Bucyrus 495, and they're brilliant! Taking the cab off might be a bit of a pain though.

Agreed. If you figure out a good method, please share. I would also like to be able to tighten up the boom ropes to more correctly level out the boom platforms...

I believe Milo from Weiss bros knows how to adjust the boom ropes properly, you should reach out to him. I will try my hand at taking off the cabin to do some detailing this winter.

Well, guess we will all have to decide on which behemoth to spend our $1k+ on..lol: this or sgc or cc8800

is this complete out of the box or able to break down to any piece at all?

It's nice to break up the crane collection with something else. I just love all the brass hand rails and details.

It's a real shame that the crowd will not hold position on this model. I would have thought this issue would have been resolved when WB updated it, but...
