Hey y'all, just as we should remember to check our smoke and CO2 detectors and change the batteries you should (Especially if you have crane models) check the pins that hold everything together!!! If you have some of the big crane models like a Liebherr LG or LR 1750 or a CC8800 you want to be sure ALL the plastic pins that hold the boom together are not brittle or damaged or broken!! You especially want to do this if you've had your air conditioning running and now you're getting ready to run the heat!!! I know a couple of our members had disaster happen several years ago as the plastic pins on the booms failed and the models came crashing down, fortunately no one was hurt in the wreckage and OSHA or other safety agencies weren't needed!!
So please check your models out and IF you need to switch those plastic pins out for brass rod or brass bolts with nuts to protect your investment!!!
