White Motor Co coach produced late 30s, overhauled by Ford around year 2000 and still used these days to transport Glacier National Park visitors (Montana - USA):

White 706 chassis fitted with a Bender Body Co coach body (Open Top Bus Company model).

That White/Ford coach is the only one I have seen, with the rear axle more towards the rear,or,set further back.Does this give it more traction, when going uphill?

modelmaniac,

Statement 1: I don't know the answer to your question.
But I suspect that the White wheelbase was first defined to suit the seating capacity required for the coach, rather than to improve its ability to climb steep inclines.
Statement 2: my "suspicious" thoughts could be completely wrong (see statement 1).

I hope this helps.

The 1/50 scale NZG version of the combination shown on various early 80s Ford Europe brochures:

Ford Cargo 1624 4x2/2 truck fitted with a Hall box body and towing a Hall 1+1-axle box trailer (modified NZG models).

One may wonder why NZG have selected to model the Hall drawbar trailer with dual tires, while the real unit was single-tired all-round, as the vast majority of German trailers. The real combination shown on the NZG model box:

Some construction site equipment realized by Loris(*) in a 1/50 scale for Jean-Jacques on his 3D printer:

Note (*): recently retired from a large French civil engineering company, Loris first designs the various elements of this equipment (concrete walls supports, site offices, containers and toilets, etc), then prints them on a 3D printer.
