Building in progress of the transport of an overhauled SNCF rail coach to a French railway museum (painting of various elements still pending): - Mercedes-Benz Arocs 4163 SLT 2.3 8x6/4 tractor (Conrad model) fitted with a removable ballast carrier body (modified Siku element) loaded with 2 concrete slabs of 4.37 tonnes each (homemade), - 2 Nicolas 3-line modular trailers (modified Corgi elements), - De Dietrich UIC-Y VRU 2+2-axle self-service restaurant coach of 48.5 tonnes (modified Lima(*) model), Note (*): the Lima model is assumed to be in the Italian 0 gauge (1/45) and measures 49cm in length: the SNCF wagon being 24.5m long, that gives a precise 1/50 scale model instead. Regards. Guy

The Siku truck was only bought for the Frauscher Mirage 747 speedboat it was carrying. Curtainside bodies were both leftovers of a Mercedes-Benz Joal combination, found unused in a drawer: MAN TGS 26-440 LL 6x2/2 truck with Deckwerth curtainside body (Siku model and Joal element, to be painted) and Schmitz Z-KO 18 central tandem trailer with Deckwerth curtainside body (modified Joal model, to be painted) Regards.
